           Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life

           Hello! Today I want to tell you and show to the maximum as possible Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life. It is located near from the old city center, which was going to in the preceding Article about Uzhhorod.
           So, Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life - open-air museum in Uzhgorod (Ukraine), consists of architectural monuments of ancient Transcarpathian village and sample the oldest and most common types of folk art.
           Started established in 1965, is open to visitors in June 1970 covers an area of  5.5 hectares, located near the site of Uzhgorod castle. The museum specimens and housing estates Transcarpathians lowland areas (Dolinians, Romanians and Hungarians) and - Highlanders (Boyko and Hutsul). In the open-air museum located 7 estates, 6 residential buildings, church, bell tower, a school, a smithy, a mill and tavern. The museum has over 14,000 exhibits.
            One ticket for an adult costs 15 UAH (about 1.4 EUR or 1.85 USD) on 08/18/2013. In order to be able to photograph you have to pay another additional 10 UAH  (about 1 EUR or 1.3 USD), which I think is a very small price.
             So start with you walk along old Transcarpathian village.

Folk housing middle reaches of the river Uzh presented the museum with a village Orihovytsi Uzhhorod district, built in the late 18th century and moved to the museum in 1969.

Homestead Village of Rakoshyno Mukachevo district.

Folk Architecture and Life Building peasants Mukachevo district in the museum are from the village Rakoshyno built hut in 1869 and transported to the museum in 1969.

For the construction Mukachevo residents have long used mostly wood, clay and stone. Because house has stone foundations, wooden wall smeared with internal and external parties with clay. The roof is covered with shingles.

Hut moved to the museum in 1969. It reflects the level of housing and consumer culture the poor peasantry of the second half of the 19th century in the upper reaches of the river Borzhava.

 Built in the late '60 19th century. There was saled to the population drinks.

Hut is a typical example of material culture Carpathian boiky. Built in the early 19th century, to the museum moved in 1967.

Manor from the village Gusnoho, Velikobereznyansky district.

Manor moved to the museum in 1967 and is a typical housing Transcarpathian boiky mid-19th century. It is built on a stone foundation walls are built of wooden beams. The roof is covered with straw.

18th century architectural monument - the church of the village Shelestovo, Mukachevo district.

Church built in 1777. In 1927 she was moved from the countryside to the city of Mukachevo from Shelestovo, and in 1974 - the city of Uzhgorod, which is set in the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life.

The temple is a classic example of the combination of two styles of folk architecture: Baroque and Tent.

I don't know on weekdays, but on weekends you can take pictures with a fully tame pigeons, rabbits and pheasants. This photo shoot with animals will cost you only 10 UAH. (1 EUR)

from 10.00 to 18.00 in summer
