"Sunny, Sunny Greece." Sithonia.

Hello . A few days ago I returned from a wonderful country of Greece. "Sunny, Sunny Greece." What do i tell you about it?) Let's start with the fact that I come from Ukraine. I traveled by bus, because the road was very difficult. We drove about 32 hours each way.

Fortunately, drivers have been with a good sense of humor ... and looking for the way to GPS and 3rd map))) Honestly thought not reach ...But it all goes by the wayside and is forgotten after when crossing the border of Bulgaria and Greece. Greece is a wonderful country. Ukraine is also very good, but somehow I'd Greece sunk into the soul ... Despite the fact that currently the country's crisis, the people are very friendly. (I hope not because we were tourists, but because they really are). But I'm getting ahead of myself. So we settled in the hotel called Mare Blue. (Near the  of Gerakini). The hotel is just wonderful, relatively new with a beautiful green area, swimming pool and bar. The town is quiet and calm, not very far from Thessaloniki. That is all as expected and what we were told in travel agency. With regard to personnel, there we were greeted very warmly and cordially. On the reception they worked Fatima and Dimitris about which I'll tell you more. 

That's just too funny happened .. The hotel turned out not just a 3 star, but an international children's holiday camp. What we certainly do not know! So, we have many many children of different age ... The children were all from Ukraine I realized ... And they were all different .. Although most knew English, all together ignore certain rules for handling on site, the pool, etc. I really felt sorry for the hotel staff ... but for children there was a lovely place to relax. They arranged competitions and discos. That all married couples recommend! 

My story about Greece, or rather a part of which I have visited, so the children enough. Well I can tell you ... A wonderful place to take a break, look at yourself in their thoughts and in their use. The scenery here is incredible, and as climate, personally for me it very much since I'm always freezing), Winters like this does not happen. That is, it is but not as severe as we have in Ukraine. Rocky terrain, lots of olive trees, palms, shrubs and incredible colors.

            As for the architecture, it is quite different from our Ukrainian. Buildings such as Thessaloniki is not very high. Thus floors 3-4 up I saw.

            The roads were fine. Lots of little narrow streets, which divide the city well, I do not know how to say ... probably a quarter. (The Greeks, please forgive me if I write something wrong.). City great, very pictorial ... A lot of flowers on the balconies, which looks very nice. There are many cafe shops, cozy shops ... Here you can find everything. Feature of most homes, if not all, is their roof. It houses closed tile that looks especially beautiful against the backdrop of white walls, sun and flowers. Of course a lot of columns, arches ... In short we can not fall in love with this place. 

But as people, the people are really friendly as I wrote. They always smile, hear you with such curiosity in his eyes, that just takes your breath. (Believe me with no great knowledge of the English language that I have a need to have a strong desire to understand me))) People are interesting, with varied interests and hobbies they are very faithful (almost 96% of the Orthodox faith) It's time to tell you about the current employee at the reception and my new greec friend Dimitris. This in my opinion is very remarkable, versatile and interesting personality. As Dimitris he said he climbing instructor with nearly 20 years experience with various awards for climbing. A man confident in his purpose, he knows exactly what he wants in life, speaks 3 languages ​​(native Greek, English and Spanish). With such people I consider to be an example of their commitment. Dimitris open to everything new. You should have seen the interest with which he interacted with the kids .. They even taught him a few words in Russian and Ukrainian languages. Honestly I think its my Greek friend and soul  admire such people like him. So sorry for advertising, but everyone who wont to climb mountains in Greece  I recommend Dimitris as an instructor:

Consequently, Greece))) and that is something I departed from the topic ... I visited the wonderful Greek evening, where we were dancers with traditional Greek dancing. I recommend! The event is really exciting, and even that danced all including myself. They showed different dance master classes. Me as a person who is engaged in dancing is very impressed. The dancers really dance at maximum. Everyone was happy, it was very fun. Honestly admit I danced unshoe))) Personally I really like the contemporary Greek music and folk, so I rested. As for Greek cuisine, it is one of my favorite dishes. Certainly not without its traditional salads, fish, olives, cheese, meat, etc.

As for excursions, I visited Meteora. This 6 monasteries are located on the cliff top. Well there is certainly a place very magnetic, holy and just mesmerizing. I believe that at least once every visit there is. You see the photo you can see but feel it and see for yourself ... it's just luck. I hesitate to write much about this holy place .. Just fear distort any facts or show them wrong. I want you just looked at my own photos and all will understand.

Just yesterday bought - Ukrainian Greek phrase) I sit and teach the word ... I want to come back when something might understand and even speak Greek to a minimum. I really want this year is to get to these wonderful land of Thessaloniki, Halkidiki. I hope my article did not hurt anyone. If so then please excuse me. This article is my vision of Greece. And I just love this country and its people.
